How ROKOSAN's Unique Zero Waste Technology is Revolutionizing the Organic Fertilizer Industry

PhDr. Adam Szöke, MBA, Director of Business Strategy for African Markets , Rokosan s.r.o.

As the world becomes more aware of the environmental impact of human activities, sustainable solutions are becoming increasingly necessary. One of the areas where this is particularly evident is in the agriculture industry, where the use of synthetic fertilizers and other harmful chemicals has been shown to have negative effects on soil health and water quality. This is where ROKOSAN steps in. With our innovative Zero Waste Technology, we are revolutionizing the organic fertilizer industry by transforming organic animal waste into high-quality, nutrient-rich fertilizer. This not only reduces waste and pollution, but it also provides a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional fertilizers that is better for the environment and for the crops themselves.

The Challenges of Traditional Organic Fertilizers

Organic fertilizers have been used for centuries to improve soil fertility and crop yields. However, traditional organic fertilizers have several limitations. They are often bulky, difficult to transport, and can be expensive to produce. Moreover, they are not always consistent in their nutrient content, which can make it challenging for farmers to achieve optimal results. Additionally, traditional organic fertilizers can have a negative impact on the environment. The use of animal manure, for example, can lead to water pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

How Zero Waste Technology Works

ROKOSAN's Zero Waste Technology is a unique process that transforms organic animal waste into high-quality, nutrient-rich fertilizer. The process begins by collecting animal waste materials, such as horns, hooves, horns, chicken feathers, wool etc., from slaughterhouses, rendering plants and poultry farms. This animal waste is not being processed at the moment and sooner or later can cause environmental problems such as the pollution of water sources or spreading of diseases. Poultry feathers are currently utilized as animal feed or is disposed as dangerous waste.

This waste is then processed using a proprietary technology that breaks down the organic matter and extracts the valuable nutrients. The resulting fertilizer is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and moreover, rich in amino acids, fulvic acids and humic acids that are vital for plant growth.

The Zero Waste process is highly efficient and cost-effective. It eliminates the need for traditional composting methods, which can be time-consuming and require large amounts of land and energy. Moreover, the technology is designed to be scalable, which means that it can be used to process large quantities of organic waste materials.

Benefits of Zero Waste Technology

ROKOSAN's Zero Waste Technology offers several benefits over traditional organic fertilizers. Poultry industry is booming and so is the production of poultry feathers which are not utilized properly. Poultry feathers are dangerous animal waste, if not utilized properly can lead to spread of antrax and other pathogens such as salmonela and e coli to the soil and subsequently to ground water.

Another environmental benefit is that our technology do NOT use natural gas and at the same time does not require huge amount of electricity to produce balanced liquid organic fertilizer with optimal content of NPK, amino acids and humic acids.

Technology itself is waste-less and production will not cause any harm to the environment. Finished products thanks to their organic properties on the other hand helps to tackle the climate change and support de-carbonization of fertilizer industry.

By increasing of organic matter in the soil we are able to enhance the natural soil fertility and microbiological life, which is important for sustainable growth, water permeability of soil and carbon sequestration.

Our fertilizers positively affect yield quantity and quality among full scale of crops. Thanks to essential amino acids plants are more immune to adverse effects of weather (drought, frost, heavy rains etc.), less prone to be subjected to the damage by pests and at the same time have natural taste and color enhanced.

Current utilization of animal waste such as poultry feathers is with minimal added economic value. Materials are usually not processed but burnt or alternatively can be used in animal feed as feather meal. However, this feather meal offers little nutritional value to the animals and can cause cannibalism between animals in some cases. That's why poultry feather meal is banned for livestock use in EU, but it is still commonly used in other parts of world.

ROKOSAN's Zero Waste Technology represents a significant advancement in the field of organic fertilizers.

Technology itself is modular and scalable, can be applied to any poultry slaughterhouse and decrease logistical costs for both slaughterhouse and fertilizer factory.

Products of Rokosan

Our technology produces fertilizers – ROKOLAN, ROKOAKTIV and ROKOHUMIN that are easy to transport and apply.

ROKOAKTIV – seed activator is used as seed treatment to ensure quick seed emergence

ROKOLAN – basic soil treatment is usually applied before sowing

ROKOHUMIN – foliar fertilizer that is applied 3x per season to ensure higher yield and crop quality

Real-world Results and Success Stories

ROKOSAN's Zero Waste Technology has been successfully implemented in Slovakia, where the company headquarter is located. At the moment, company is looking at setting up first factory in Africa. Company has its subsidiaries in Cuba, Panama, Rwanda, Tanzania.

Given the uniqueness of our technology, we believe that mankind would benefit from our technology in global perspective. Evidence of this are four-year trials through certified institutions around the globe.

Products ROKOLAN, ROKOAKTIV and ROKOHUMIN are being sold in EU, Cameroon, Ghana, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya, Panama, Colombia, Cuba.

The Future of Organic Fertilizers with Zero Waste Technology

ROKOSAN's Zero Waste Technology represents a significant advancement in the field of organic fertilizers. As the demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions continues to grow, the Zero Waste process is poised to become a critical technology in the agriculture industry. With its ability to transform organic animal waste into high-quality fertilizer, the Zero Waste process offers a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional fertilizers that is better for the environment and for the crops themselves.

How to Use ROKOSAN's Zero Waste Technology

ROKOSAN's Zero Waste Technology can be used in a variety of applications, from large-scale agricultural operations to rendering plants.

ROKOSAN offer elegant solution on how to make country self-sufficient, increase employment in agriculture and yield at the same time.

Conclusion: Why ROKOSAN's Zero Waste Technology is Revolutionizing the Organic Fertilizer Industry

ROKOSAN's Zero Waste Technology is a game-changer in the organic fertilizer industry. By transforming organic animal waste into high-quality fertilizer, the process offers a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional fertilizers that is better for the environment and for the crops themselves. With its ability to produce a highly consistent and nutrient-rich fertilizer, the Zero Waste process offers a significant advantage over traditional organic fertilizers. As the demand for sustainable solutions continues to grow, ROKOSAN's Zero Waste Technology is poised to become a critical technology in the agriculture industry, transforming the way we think about organic fertilizers and waste management.
